He said the medication works on activation of the immune system , so it detects cancerous cells and destroys them. The medication that he discovered was able to destroy about 90 % of the cancerous cells after a couple of weeks of treatment and the remaining 10% was nearly cancer free.
Under the title "We did not lose the war against cancer," Obeid explained his findings to a crowd of doctors and scientists .
He demonstrated how our immunity system plays a significant role in overcoming all diseases and how chemical drugs play a secondary role. Obeid explained that cancer cells have the capability of hiding away from the immunity system and this keeps the disease hidden in our body. So the solution, Obeid continued, does not lie in chemotherapy as practiced today in hospitals across the world, but in enabling our immunity system to play the greater role of detecting the tumor and eliminating it.
The research of his findings proved effective after carrying out tests on some 5000 mice he said.
Obeid said that the new treatment is a combination of a protein called Calreticulin a drug which he did not disclose for the time being. The new drug had no side effects on the tested mice nor did it cause any loss of weight.
Obeid also said he will soon start experimenting with human beings and as soon as he secures the needed funding and the registration of the patents .
It will be several years before the medication will be approved for treating human beings

Mr Obeid was fired from his institute according to his former Ph.D. director Professor Guido Kroemer at l’Institut de cancérologie Gustave Roussy en France.
Mr Obeid is not a medical doctor. And he was granted a PhD very recently.
If he was not a student as the others, it is only because he is incredibly pretentious. Otherwise, it is obvious that all ideas behind his PhD work originated from Pr G Kroemer, who is himself a real genius. This is normal for a PhD student. What is different in Mr Obeid from most PhD students is his behavior, nothing more....and this has nothing to do with Lebanon.
